All of the Messy Lines pieces are a thematic continuation of the busy line work first explored in the Hungry Ghosts series.

Where the Hungry Ghost work focused on building dense layers of *whole* strands working together, the looser spirit of the new Messy Line work encourages unresolved strands, shaky lines and smudges that work toward constructing a textural result of accumulation rather than linear linking.

The Sketchbook Project involves starting a pattern on the first page of the book and continuing till the last page is filled up.
